All Things Strings

I composed this piece for strings few years ago. This was actually my first complete composition ever. It's inspired by Gabrielle Roy novel "Bonheur d'occasion" (The Tin Flute). It's played here by an amateur ensemble; it actually sounded better in real; with the audio compressions and low quality micro, it sounds a bit strange ;-) Your opinion is greatly appreciated!

Very nice composition. I like your somewhat darker style. I'm starting to write some of my own compositions for solo violin. Shorter simpler pieces that hopefully evoke the images I hear myself. Writing instrumentals is fairly new to me. Anything recorded on CD?

Thank you Janice and Nancy!

I knew that question on the "bass" would pop-up sooner or later ;--) YIKES! I actually LOVE the bass but unfortunately we didn't have a bass player. It's always actually challenging finding bass players in the amateur orchestras I play with.

Wow, your first composition for string orchestra sounds great!! How exciting for you! This amateur group does a super job. Best of luck with future composing, Eddy!! ~Janice
