What is or was your motivation or inspiration to play violin, viola, cello or any stringed instrument?

Violin captivated me when I was 11 or 12 enough to want to play it. I started taking lessons then. Family, moving and other things detracted me from it then late in life I picked up the violin again but to have been thwarted by physical limitations I took up cello. I am now past 4 years of playing cello and loving every second of it. Tell what is your inspiration towards your instrument?

Hey Monica - Thank you for putting me on to the French cellist and her piece "Stay". I purchased the CD. There are some really good songs on there.
