I know what you mean about the bone heads and gossips. Some (not all) of the musicians in this area concentrate more on rumors than the actuall music we make.

Synthetic core strings say that use with fine tuners isn't recommended. They also say make sure yuor tail piece can fit their wide diameter

Michael,

Hello. I am actually a bow maker wannabe. I have been a wood craftsman for many years and only took up the fiddle in the last few years. I have been self studying fiddle and bow making in the hopes of actually making my first bow. There something about bows that seem to just capture my attention. I am in the Northwest where there seems to be a great collection of master bow makers. I am hoping to have an opportunity to learn more.

Best,

Seth
