hey guys, had my rather lovely viola a couple of weeks now, working through EE viola book 1, just about coming up to 'reasonably confident' with my first scale on the D and A, almost ready to play some music, having a blast with it too!
I'm currently tabbing out Beatle tunes for my viola......
just joined up- I have a student model viola arriving next week-I'm a student fiddler who wanted to switch as violin was hurting my cats ears (tho I'll still play me electric violin with earbuds on) and I love the deeper tone of the viola.
Fellow violists, are you looking to learn to play alternative styles of music? If so, then check out "Accidentals Happen! A Compilation of Scales for Viola" for all levels. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&f...
Glad to have you joine the group Amanda. Welcome.
Welcome to the group and community, Amanda!
Hi guys! I am a Music Education/Viola major at Ithaca College School of Music. I've been playing viola for ten years, and have played in several symphony, string, and pit orchestras as well as a few quartets. I'm glad to have finally joined :-)
