All Things Strings

Any stands out there for tall-er people? Sturdy ones? I have a stand at home that I'll say is barely adequate, but it very wobbly and unstable. Any ideas or advice welcome.

I don't know whether this is tall enough for you but I use a Manhasset stand. I originally bought it because when I'm teaching I'm constantly changing the height of the stand to accommodate students' heights. I wore out a number of cheaper stands before my local music retailer suggested this one and I must have had it now for at least 10 years! It's very stable and semi-portable - the top part comes off. I just checked their site and they come in various heights. Check for yourself here: http://www.manhasset-specialty.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=page&pa...

In case you are still looking for a stand.....I agree with Gail Tivendale's comment below. I just bought a Manhasset stand recently and I'm very happy. It is great quality and can adjust pretty high. I'm 5'7, so not too tall, but still works for me. =]
