All Things Strings

I believe the video section of this website has several important functions. One is to post educational videos, another to post videos of concerts or performaces at a level, which serve an educational or inspirational purpose.

I have noticed that recently, several videos of small children in home movie settings have been posted on this website. While these are certainly cute, they serve neither an inspirational nor an educational purpose. As such, they belong on a social network like Facebook, Myspace or any other number of websites available for disseminating home movies of kids playing an instrument intended to impress friends and family.

If young children are featured in, say, a Suzuki program educational video, then I have absolutely no objections in such video being posted on this website. I do not want to seem to be a "stick," but I strongly recommend to the editors of this website, that cute home movies be removed from the Video section, as this is not the proper place to post them. Perhaps you should formulate a policy so this is clear to everyone.

Ahhhh! The exact purpose of my website: www.myviolinvideos.com! Add to that a site where kids can roam freely and not be exposed to anything inappropriate that may pop up on such sites as YouTube.

Have fun visiting and participating!
