All Things Strings

I am having a hard time getting my thumb to relax. I have the most trouble when I play the flat notes on the 1rst position.

I need all the posting I can get because I don't want to injure my thumb permanently!

If you're a violinist or violist, sit on the floor, prop the violin/viola scroll on a chair so you don't have to hold it up with your left hand, and play a lot! With or without your thumb!

Expect to spend a lot of time on this!
